Meet Dr. Radak
Dr. Radak has a masters and doctorate in Public Health Nutrition from the leading university for vegetarian science and nutrition, the CEPH accredited Loma Linda University completing his dissertation on calcium and bone health with Chair, Dr. Joan Sabate, a renowned leader in vegetarian nutrition for many decades and among the few distinguished scientists selected to serve on the 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. Dr. Radak completed his post-doctoral research at UC Davis and the USDA Western Human Nutrition Research Center on soy bone health, and cancer.
Dr. Radak has been credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since year 2000, and interned at the California Department of Health, and the McDougall program in Santa Rosa, CA. He has worked in the nonprofit sector including serving as Director of Nutrition for The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, and academia for over 20 years, instructing students in health education, nutrition, and public health at several universities and community college. He has authored or co-authored articles related to plant-based diets in peer-reviewed scientific journals, written several plant-based and vegetarian textbook chapters, serves as a peer-reviewer for several health journals, and is a frequent speaker and plant-based health conferences. He is an Advisory Member for the Human Ecology Project. He has been studying, conducting research, and publishing in the fields of Nutrition and Chronic Disease with a particular focus on answering the question of whether plant foods confer healthful benefits for minimizing disease, not only conferring health but optimizing health. He is passionate about helping the public discover the science-based research linking optimal health and plant-based diets and is a member of Plant-Based Doctors.

He resides at 3800 ft elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina spending time with his partner, and rescue dog, and enjoys growing heirloom and international varietals of fruits and vegetables while practicing organic permaculture techniques.
